REVIEW I
A kid wants to give his mom the best present she’d ever received, and goes to the mall hoping to find the perfect present for her in there, but something odd happens. A very short story unfortunately not much of my liking, the tale seemed to be somewhat dull with the kid searching for a gift for her mother, the way the story was told wasn’t bad but the story itself, in my opinion, was boring. If you’re looking for an entertaining and fun story to read, then this is not the one for you.

Nasreddin and the ferry man.
The story is set in a ferry with the two characters sailing in it, one being a professor and the other our main character, chatting with each other durin the ride. The way the story begins makes it confusing as to where it is heading. Its not a life lesson type of story, neither a mind bloweing one, but it has a very nice sense of humor to it and its very well worth the reading.

REVIEW IV
Nasraddin and the pot.
Set in a residential environment, the story is about a couple of neighbors. It begins when one of them asks the other to borrow him a pot. Interesting and real are the first words that come to my mind, though the story is very naïve, it very well exemplifies the way people can act when it comes to helping others without getting anything in return. In my opinion it is an enjoyable reading and its worth giving it a try.

A special Christmas present.

Christmas time is near now, and this reading is perfect to describe what people live on Christmas. "A special Christmas present" is the title of this great reading, which tell us what a boy called Dave does for his mother.

Dave is the main character. It is fascinating the way he wants to show his mother the love that he feels for her. This story is really emotional. Dave looks for a perfect Christmas present to impress his mother. That is something that I like, because it shows what someone can do for someone else.

We try to look for a special gift for a special person, but in some cases the reaction of that person isn´t as good as we expected. And why do I mention that? If you want to know it, read "A special Christmas present" and you will discover the end!

Two sisters and the cat.

Sometimes pets are not only that for people. Pets are loved like they were part of the family. "Two sisters and a cat", written by Laurie Buchanan, is an example of this.

One of the sisters, Mrs. Wilson, was suffering because her cat died. She was feeling bad and she didn´t know waht to do with her dead cat.

We could notice the value of the family in the reading. Mrs. Smith, who was Mrs. Wilson´s sister, helped her to feel better. She took the dead cat to bury it in her house, but something happened! The ending of this reading is shocking. If you want to know what´s next buy it!

And don´t forget that we must care about our family and friends, and let them know that we love them.

Nasreddin Goes Shopping.
One of the things that people like to do is go shopping. And this is the theme for "Nasreddin goes shopping". The reading was based on reality.

Nasreddin seemed to be a poor guy. He wanted to buy new clothes, so he went downtown and spent the day looking for the perfect piece of clothing. He went into some clothing stories but he wasn´t really sure about what he wanted to buy. First, he bought a pair of trousers, but then he gave them back because he didn´t feel satisfied with them. He wanted to change them for something else. We can feel identify with this fact, everybody has lived at least once this situation.
When Nasreddin was ready to go, something happened. The shopkeeper stopped him. But why? You can find the answer at the end of this reading, so come on and read it!

Review IV
Nasreddin´s visitors.
Written by John and Muriel Higgins,"Nasreddin´s visitors", which is categorized as a comedy, is an example of how kind people can be with their family, friends or unknown people.

It started with the visit of Nasreddin´s cousin. He brought a duck to cook it for dinner. They spent a great time together. Next day someone knocked the door. "I am the friend of the man who brought you the duck" he said. He came just for food. Huh! What a shameless guy! But Nasreddish didn´t say no. This situation was repeated over and over again. But then, when the fourth visitor came and was having dinner, he noticed a strange taste on the soup. What was wrong? What was different? Nasreddin answered in a pretty fun and sarcastic way. It isn´t a waste of time to read this story.

Nasreddin and the smell soup

When people eat soup the first thing that comes into our minds is Sunday. Why especially that day? Because it’s like a tradition to get together with your family and prepare a big pot of soup and smell the yummy smell of the soup, that’s why the story is called the smell soup.

We could see a poor man who was really hungry and he just had a loaf of bread because he didn’t even have a penny to buy something else to eat.

The poor man was walking and saw a pot of a smelly soup, he held his bread over the soup to permeate it with the delicious smell of the soup.

The restaurant owner was really angry at this and asked the poor man to pay him just for what he did, but the poor man replied that he didn’t have money to pay, so the restaurant owner took him to the judge Nasreddin, who thought about the case for a little while and went to the restaurant. If you want to know what the judge said, read the story and think about the sarcastic answer of the judge.

Nasreddin the ferry man

There are too many ways to be translate to somewhere, if you want to cross a river you need to take a boat. This is a funny and interesting story that will leave you a message. Think first, talk later. The story is called Nasreddin the ferry man.

Nasreddin is a ferry man who translates people across the river with his old boat.

One day he took a university professor to the other side of the river and the professor started to make a lot of annoying questions, like trying to test his IQ.

A SPECIAL CHRISTMAS PRESENT

One month so beautiful, where people share not just presents and gifts but also the union and love in every family in this time so full of enthusiasm and joy as Christmas. The story is very simple but very touching to see this boy named David, as it saves money to buy this for her mom and shows his love for his mother, no matter the value of the gift you bought it the action that took david acquire the money to buy this, this is an example for other children, is a very simple story but basically has a lot of learning, even though the end I leave it to your imagination!

TWO SISTERS AND THE CAT

That's nice when people love their pets, they bring much joy to people of any age, we love them both as part of the family, Mrs. Smith with such good feelings did not want to throw a Sammy and I was very sad, because he found support in his sister Wilson. It is beautiful when brothers and sisters assisting us in good times and bad. How sad it must feel Ms. Wilson when he realized that Sammy had left on the bus and could not do what his sister was commissioned, we cannot judge her for this, because from the beginning of the story had good intentions, for her sister to stay calmer. Will it be that we think is an oversight by age?
In my opinion, reading very good sisters saw a noble sentiments, it seems it was something that was suddenly disconnected.

REVIEW 3
NASREDDIN AND THE SMELL OF SOUP The smell of soup is so tasty, especially when we gather with family or when we feel bad, that it falls to us not only the smell but when you eat.
I felt very sad when I read this story because sometimes we are not aware of the behavior of people without feelings, it is possible that this man is angry restaurant owner only because this poor man ate the bread with the smell of soup, is very cruel to see these actions when someone is hungry. Maybe this poor man has more human quality that the restaurant owner.
God exists, these people believe and are sure of what you have, but there are moments when the causes of life go down, they feel worthless, because they believe that money is everything in life.! What's with the feelings and good deeds. Thank you because you paid the smell of the soup with the noise of the coins.

REVIEW 4
NASREDDIN´S VISITORS

We feel great joy when a family comes home, very good gesture by the cousin to take something to celebrate the arrival.
Throughout the reading, Nasreddin always so attentive to the people who come to your home. Sometimes friends abuse the good gesture by Nasreddin because they came one another, and another to the same, it was: to give them food.
I understand, not that Nasreddin bother to give them food, but the shape, the gesture that will only eat like a restaurant and still the last visitor once said proved the soup tasted like hot water!.
Of course! Will not be as hot water if they were all taking advantage of food and good will that Nasreddin had accepted into her house to eat and none had the pleasure, the act of working for the soup.
Will it be that just went for food and not share with them? ... I leave to your imagination! I invite you to read this story.

REVIEW I: A special Christmas present.

Christmas, as a special time of the year, always brings out the best of people, and this kid was not the exception. He wanted to give his mother a special gift but that only thing required a big effort: a little bit of his pocket money. But that was not trouble!. He loved his mother very much, and was very happy to make a sacrifice to show that to her.
So after he saved enough money to buy what he wanted, went to the mall to search for the best present. Only one thing was clear on his mind; he wanted something allusive to her favorite pet. And after looking, he found the ideal gift. The only thing was that he didn't had the best answer from his mother...
I think the final was unexpected; the kid sacrificed his time and got an answer he did not expect. I don't think this is the best story to read because it has not a good end, and it's also a bit boring.

Two sisters and a cat.

One day Mrs Wilson decided to go to her sister's house, a condominium in Victoria. That was far away from her own house in Duncan, but she didn't care much about that.
When she arrived there, she knocked the door and waited; then her sister opened with tears in her eyes. She said her cat died the night before and she didn't had a place where to bury him. After this, she began to cry again.
Mrs. Wilson felt terrible. She hated to see her sister like that, but she comprehended: Mrs Smith loved that cat very much.
Suddenly, Mrs. Wilson had a great idea; she offered her house as a place to bury the cat, adding that she could go and visit him any time. Mrs. Smith appreciated that, she stopped crying, and they had a great chat after that.
When it was too late, Mrs. Wilson said she had to go. She grabbed the coat, gloves, the cat in a shopping bag, and went to the bus stop.
Everything was fine, until she realized that she missed something when got off the bus... The cat!
Big trouble! but nice story. It is about nice things and manners with people. What will happen? I invite you to read it!

REVIEW III
Nasreddin and the beggar:

I don't believe it's a good story but wither way I recommend to read it because it shows the reaction of some people when they're upset or obliged to do something.
The reaction of Nasreddin showed revenge against the old man, and I think it was not the best way to react in front of a man who needed help.
I'm sure people have to read or see (in case of movies or stories) everything, in order to evaluate anything for themselves, so I recommend it so it can be judged for others. People can give it a whole new meaning that way.

Nasreddin and the pot:

It's always good to read funny stories so we can distract our minds from the ton of things always in our lives, and this one, although is short, shows creativity and humor in an everyday situation.
It's a simple story but special for kids when they're starting the habit of reading, but it's also good for grownups!
A laugh always simplifies our lifes for the better so, give yourself a nice break laughing!

The Death Car
What do you think when you hear the word "Vacation? Trips, parties, a lot of time to sleep and free time for sure. And that was what George and Marie Winston thought: to take a trip to their friend´s house and celebrate the engagement of their daughter. But they did not know what they were going to live on that trip. You can have an idea just with the title of the reading "The Death Car".
On their way, they listened to an announcement on the radio. A killer had escaped from Colford Mental Hospital. They were surprised for that, and they couldn´t stop thinking that this man was free on the streets.
Can you image what happened next? Of course you can! As in every scary story, something horrible happened next. The car stopped. They were in the middle of the night on that lonely road. George decided to go for help. He promised Marie to come back, but he never did.
Next day, Marie knew where George was. He was the one who really needed help, but it was too late for that.
If you like scary readings, you must buy this one! You will enjoy every line and every page of it, like I did.

The Choking Dog
Sometimes, when we are in a hurry, we don´t care about what is around us. We just think about ourselves, we are in our world. “The Choking Dog” is an example of this.
After a very busy day at work, Joanne just wanted to go home and have a bath before going out to a meeting in a tennis club. When she got out of work, she had to drive fast because she was already late.
She arrived home, and said hello to her dog. Joanne had lots of thoughts in her mind. But when she stopped a minute to bend down to stroke the dog´s head, she noticed that something was wrong. Her dog, Sheba, wasn´t breathing very well. Joanne had to take Sheba to the vet. She left her dog there and went home to get ready to the meeting. But suddenly, she received a call from Dr. Sterne. Sheba was OK, but he had found something interesting in her throat. “What was it?” asked Joanne, and I bet you are asking the same, right?
This is a very curious reading, so come on and read it! You won´t regret if you do it.

The death car
Don’t you hate it when you’re driving under the rain and the car engine suddenly stops working for whatever reason? If you do, then you’re going to find this story very familiar, but that’s where the familiarity pretty much ends. It all takes place inside the car of a married couple going to visit their friends over at the country side, and the car engine chooses the worst of moments and situation to break down. This is a story that manages to get you on the edge of your seat; the way the author tells the story with such detail on the surroundings of the characters, help in getting the reader absorbed by the story itself, making you feel almost as if you were, in fact, part of the telling. Oh, and if you’re by any chance wondering what’s so bad about having the car engine break down in the middle of the road, then wait until you read the story and find out yourself; It’ll make you think twice before getting out of the car when that happens to you again, and make your jaw drop to the ground.

REVIEW VI
The Carpet Fitter
We got here a story about a man that hates his job; he is, like the title suggests, a carpet fitter. The guy, named Eddie, was tired of working in this line of job; he was especially tired of people’s attitude towards his job once it was done. Personally, I didn’t think the story was too interesting, it lacked, in my opinion, of the capacity to make the reader feel interested in the main character and his situation. At some point the story even became predictable; it was quite clear for me the direction the author was heading in telling the story, I’m not sure exactly how was I able to almost immediately figure out how things were going to turn out, but It turned out exactly how I predicted it will be; and that’s no good when you’re reading a story and when you’re half way there you manage to figure out the ending before you even start enjoying reading it. If you want to do more than just kill some time reading something, then sadly this isn’t the stuff you’re looking for.

The Death Car

The couple starring “The Death Car”, (George and Marie) were going to a friend's house (The Harrison), but in their way, they heard the most frightening news on the radio: the scape of a lunatic killer. They were both very scary (he scenary was appropiate for an attack) chating about it, when suddenly their worst thoughts came real: the car broke down, and they stood there wondering about what to do.

Suddenly George stood up for both with a non very pleasant idea: "I'll run to the nearest house to call the Harrison" but Marie didn't agree: "There's an homicidal maniac out there!" but he went anyway. The only thing he said to her was to shut the doors and lie down in the back of the car, and also that he'll knock three times when he came back, that way she would recognize him.
But the night and the cold brought nothing but terror to Marie. She was worried of her husband and that serial killer outhere, but she didin't fall asleep. As she was lying there, the most awful sounds began to ring, and those became the lullaby of her night, predicting that something shocking was about to happen.

The death car simulates a classic horror story setted in a cold night of September, in a very dark highway. I liked a lot, the end was specially unexpected, and the terror of Marie was obvious and convincent. My favorite part was definetely the final, but the whole story is developed with mistery and it keps you more interested as you read!

The choking dog

“The choking dog” is the story of a very bussy woman named Joanne who wanted a moment of relax, just before she had to go to a meeting in a local tennis club with a client. She was pretty upset because she planned everything to have that really nice hot bath, but it kept delaying thanks to some obstacles in the day.
Traffic jam, a weird man at the office and a choking dog, were the main. But what she didin't know was that the last one represented a problem, because her dear Sheba (the dog) saved her from something bigger.
When that hurried woman came home, she faced a Sheba who seemed sick; she was then, really upset, because she did not want to have another thing to deal with. But when she took a closer look to Sheba's face, then she started to worry. She decided to take her to the vet, and the doctor said that it looked like it was something on her throat. But then the woman, also worried about the time, wanted to leave Sheba with the doctor for ten minutes, to go change for the meeting.
But the most surprising thing was what happened right after that. The doctor discovered what Sheba had in the throat and called her. “Open the door!” -he said- and what Joanne couldn't imagine was what she was going to discover when she decided to open it. The whole reason of why Sheba was choking in a strange thing on her throat!

Pulp Friction

We have been living in a world where people don´t worry about the planet and about the environment. We are not concious that we have to care of it if we want to live healthy and better. And not only human beings, there are plenty of animals who deserve to live in a better way. The author of this reading, called "Pulp Friction", explains this situation a little bit better.

One big problem is Logging. It provides us lots of benefits, but this action takes from us part of our nature, our trees. But also, it takes the opportunity of a variety of animals for living.

Because all of these, some people have been looking for a solution, as we can read, scientifics found a plant, which is called Hemp, that can be used to produce paper and many other things. However, there is a group of activists who are against Hemp because it is related to marijuana.

In my opinion, Hemp should be legalized. People should use it properly, but who knows. The only way to know if this plant works, is to try it.

Pulp friction
We should be proud of our ambition; this definitely has taken us to form our own definition of evolution, only based on comfort as a synonym of it. This enviromental problem is not part of our agenda; this is only a problem of government (which they always need to solve) and a little part of the daily news we see on tv.
Maybe we know that this is an ascending problem, but unfortunately, a lot of people only know about this, without acting against it. We mostly use the easiest way to get what we want, going through life fulfilling whims and dreams, that only include us and ours as a priority. We think of the world only when we’re eating our New year’s grapes. (Sometimes not even that).
We've made mother nature our slave, and this is the main reason why species of plants, insects and animals are extinct now. The extreme use of our planet, has caused an imbalance in some animal enviroments, and even in our own!
Activities just like logging, is producing a lack of rainforests, which have been clearcut completely. Countries like Canada –which is a pulp producer- are suffering the damages of deforestation. Fortunately, options have emerged that could save the trees from the demand of wood pulp in the country. But has been a controversial solution.
The name of the solution is hemp. And the plant is a specie of cannabis, from which marijuana is produced. This is why some protest groups emerged against this iniciative, but there has also been protest pro Hemp. This is because the plant has been used for thousands of years, as paper, fuel, oils, textiles, food and rope. The use of Hemp in paper production, can give our enviroment a little, but helpful break.
Although, the legalization movements gained some strength but in a limited way, it’s supposed to be a major advantage, because a legalization was aproved, concerned to the production of fibre in the country, and the farming of hemp for it’s cuality of being a enviromental support.

I think is a kind of person who likes to play smart. and he think he can get away with it. he went to buy some clothes and since he didn`t have the money to pay for them, he use a non-valid argument, not to pay for them by exchanging a pair of trousers that he trieded for a rope that he like how it fits.

review 6 pulp fiction

I think that it`s a really good reading and it is also relevant because, if scientist have discovered a way of reducing contamination why is it that the most powerful countries in the world are against the preservation of are rainforest. it`s a huge contradiction, what`s important to them?the envirorment and our deply hurt planet? or power and more money?why doesn`t anyone do anything? why Copenhagen didn`t make a statement to USA?
From this type of cannabus we can make things that reduce the contamination because it`s from a natural resource and we ca produce from the hemp itself different kinds of products such as: fibre, rope, oil, fuel. let`s stop here, only imagine if we could change gasoline for fuel made from hemp, that it`s also cultivated on that land tha we are distroying. I think that with these contamination could be reduce a a 70% in some years.
Other thing about the cannabis that doesn`t contains THL. It is a fact that cigarette are very dangerous for our health starting bacause it is one of the principal couse of lung cancer in the world and i`ve never known anyone that has pasted away for smoking or drinking marihuana, it is sad but is also a reality. why is it legal tu buy tabaco cigarette if it´s so bad for our body. I have a esperience with my mother best friend who died of cancer and her doctor sugested her to smoke or tu drink marihuana to reduce the chemotherapy effects
so according to what the outor said about the benefits of cannabis, I really think that our goverments should considere the legalization ok hemp and marihuana
